Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona

The Diaper Bank movement got its start in 1994, when a small consulting firm decided to give back to their community during the holiday season.
Resolve Inc., based in Tucson, Arizona, started their charitable efforts by collecting diapers for a local crisis nursery.

Their annual diaper collection tradition continued, and only five years later, they had collected 300,000 diapers for 30 different organizations.
By this point, the small consulting firm had been preparing for their December Diaper Drive for six months.

From 1996 to 1999, the Diaper Bank was run as a non-profit program by the Carondelet Foundation. The Community Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona became a separate charitable organization in 2000, becoming the country’s first Diaper Bank.
