Adult Care Brief Bank
Diaper Bank Near You in
Bergen County, New Jersey , USA
This grass roots project aims to educate the public, advocate for change and suggest ways to donate adult absorbent products. Did you know that 25 million older Americans are experiencing some form of urinary incontinence? The latest studies report that 25% of New Jersey seniors cannot afford food and other basic needs. Percentages may vary but the need is global. Access to these items is a ‘basic human need’ which allows senior adults to remain mobile, social, and productive. Without these products many healthy older people are trapped in their homes, fearful of joining social functions and trying new activities. There are currently no programs that offer financial assistance to seniors in need of incontinence products.
What can you do? It’s easy! With an email blast and collection bin your organization can make a difference in the life of a senior by collecting adult care briefs, (formerly known as adult diapers). The products collected will be distributed through agencies such as Center for Food Action, Meals On Wheels, Visiting Homemaker Home Health Aide Service and more.
Please consider hosting a drive (becoming a temporary collection site) at your place of employment, worship, school, gym, etc. Get the word out to raise awareness and advocate for change.
